Today's treat is fun, flavorful, fresh, and a cinch to make!
Unlike the processed sugary versions you get in the store, which often contain added sugars and a list of mystery compounds, the one in today's recipe is sweetened by the fruit alone and is made of only two ingredients, both of which are real (and recognizable) foods:
- homemade yogurt
- fruit
We encourage you to use yogurt made with our probiotic Yogurt Plus starter, but if you prefer a ready-made yogurt, opt for high-quality unsweetened yogurt from the store. (See below for other options)
Fun fact: It's faster to make this treat than to read this post. (We whipped it up in 54 seconds, we counted!)
Without further ado, let's make fruit-flavored yogurt:
Prep time: 1 minute
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
- Yogurt, enough to fill a serving bowl
- Fresh or frozen fruit
Instructions:
Combine the ingredients in a bowl, stir if desired, serve. (See step-by-step in pictures above)
Instead of yogurt you can use any of the following:
- L. Reuteri Superfood made with our L. Reuteri Superfood starter
- L. Gasseri Superfood made with our L. Gasseri Superfood starter
- Thick kefir made with our Easy Kefir starter
If your dairy separated into solids and liquids (curds and whey), use mostly the curds. You can add some of the whey too, for some extra good bacteria and tang, but it will make the consistency thinner.
