A life skill that will serve you well: Learn to make fermented foods

Learning to make fermented foods is a life skill that will serve you well.

It's one step closer to food independence.

Once you've learned how to make kefir or yogurt, for example, you won't depend on a factory to produce it for you. You will only need milk and a kefir starter or yogurt starter, and you'll be able to ferment your own kefir or yogurt at home.

Set yourself a doable goal; start with something easy.

Kefir is one of the easiest foods to ferment at home. You don't need special equipment or cooking skills. Preps take 2 minutes.

Our Easy Kefir starter does not require grains. It's easy to use, involving hardly any work on your part aside from stirring the content of one sachet of powdered starter into dairy milk (cold from the fridge) and leaving the jar to ferment on the counter for a day.

Once you've made a jar of kefir, you can use some of it to ferment your next jar. You can repeat this several times over.

Kefir is an easy go-to for those just starting with homemade fermented foods and those with a busy schedule. Anyone should be able to enjoy a healthy homemade fermented food without too much work -- that's Easy Kefir!
